The motivation behind this blog is to begin a conversation with others who are struggling to overcome great loss, or who just want to move to a better place. I hope to create a sense of community, and to grow each day in joy and into a fuller life.
That’s asking an awful lot of myself, but I’m hoping that by inviting guest authors, and generating meaningful discussions amongst ourselves, we’ll get there. What works for me, might not work for you – let’s share and grow together.
I will share my story from the darkest days, to the lingering fallout, through the guilt, anguish and more guilt (especially about feeling good), and the ways I am able to find harmony and peace after the murder of my daughter.
Sometimes it’s very hard work to be happy, sometimes it comes out of nowhere, but it does come and that’s the most important thing to remember. There is light at the end of the tunnel.
